Bernie McCann
Herbalist, Administrator and Principal Tutor at Brighid’s Academy of Healing Arts, the Director of Sweet Rose Remedies providing the continuation of the teachings of her Mentors Gina, Rosemary and Juliette.
The teachings are a traditional lineage with everything passed down one generation to the next. Bernie runs workshops and retreats from her home and other venues as well as running a busy clinic. Embarking on her training she created a small garden of amazing herbs that are a source of beauty and of remedy, creating a bigger connection to earth and its elements and along with being a Nutritionist can offer a lot in a consultation including The Fitzwilliam Foodtest for Intolerances.
As Gina retired recently, Bernie holds great pride in being next in line of the these powerful women to carry on the teaching to you and in turn continue to share great healing knowledge and work in Nature as it is intended.

Juliette De Bairacli Levy
Herbalist and Author.
A proud Gypsy, a term she used to call one ‘a person of the earth’. She was a pioneer of holistic animal health. She studied and became a vet and when learned of animal testing for research, she left and became an advocate for the animals welfare. Juliette travelled with several tribes all over the world learning her skill and has 14 books published. She is known as one of the Grandmothers of Contemporary Herbalism.
Rosemary Gladstar
Herbalist, Author and Educator of the one of the longest running Herbal school in the USA and has taught across the globe. Rosemary is known as the Godmother of modern Herbalism.
Rosemary was before her time in offering at home courses approx. 30 years ago when she realised not eberyone can leave their home to study but she wanted to offer all her knowledge.
She mentions Herbalism as the medicine of the home and says Herbalism offers a direct link to the healing power of the earth. Herbalism is affordable, accessible and most importantly an effective system of healing.
Gina McGarry
Herbalist, Author and the Director of the acclaimed Brighid’s Academy of Healing Arts in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
Her synthesis of traditional Irish healing and her modern approach to holistic health has seen her reputation spread far beyond her native land. Gina is the proud inheritor of a rich traditional of earth honouring, life enriching healing methods widely practised by our Celtic ancestors. These healing methods are taught and carried on now by Bernie and are a powerful tool in the new healing renaissance.
